"The Rat" - very underrated offensively talented player, 860 games 807 points over fifteen NHL seasons. Won the Cup in 1984 with the Oilers.
All in all I think the Flyers got Mark Howe by trading Linseman.

Yup, good player but nowhere near the level that Mark Howe played at. It’s one of the best trades in Flyers history.

Sorry to say, but from what Jim Jackson tweeted earlier today, Oscar is not done with his treatments. He said the reports today were inaccurate. So, everything still sucks.

Win/win, Pacific gem. We got 4 solid years almost outta him, and then was traded for a future Flyers great.

Flyers feed suggests he can play when the season continues but I think it’s a little too soon to tell. Imagine though.

Giroux - Couturier - Konecny

JvR - Hayes - Voracek

Lindblom - Patrick - Laughton

Raffl - Grant - Pitlick

NAK, Thompson, Farabee

Lindblom playing at any point in 2020 is wildly optimistic. At best, the odds are 2-1 against him ever playing again, and at the earliest it would likely be at some point in 2021. If he can just be cancer free and live a healthy, long life, he’ll have already beaten the odds.

Also, I’m starting to think it’s pretty doubtful that we see NoPa in the lineup before the 20-21 season and I’m starting to be concerned that he might never play again.

There is no way that Lindblom could get into hockey shape and recover to play this Summer. He would never get medical clearance. I'm not a doctor obviously but I feel very comfortable in making that statement.

I'm just part of the mob that are fans. I think that we are (slightly) deserving of regular updates on Oscar and Nolan.
I find myself annoyed by this lack of information about two 'kids' who I never met or even seen other than the screen. Sometimes I find myself being emotional over their plight.
That's annoying too.
As Danny Glover says, 'I'm too old....'
The Universe is designed to kill us, just as much as it is made to deliver us to this plane. In their cases, a little flexibility would be nice in the mandated outcomes.
I sincerely doubt they are getting what they deserve and are just riding the statistical waves. I'm hoping they get back on the boards and make it to the shore.
There are many worse specimens of humans who could be justified to live these fates.

The players, especially Lindblom deserve some privacy. We'll ne updated when appropriate.

I'd be happy if Lindblom and Patrick can just live normal lives and be a part of the Flyers family

and in a year or two, when he'll be just 22 or 23, it might look real good
